Brian Hunt

Brian Hunt

President

Back in the late 70’s the light went on for Brian in Detroit, where ironically the lights have actually been dimming lately. He needed to generate show room traffic for Lincoln Mercury and giving away a Cross pen to test drive and an ounce of gold to buy or lease was an offer he dreamed up and argued to test. Big success, nice ROI.

Fast forward to Seattle and the 80’s when he helped Bank of America book hundreds of thousands of credit cards of various colors and co-brand offerings – talk about learning the nuances of direct mail! The 90’s were marked with the first launching of HMG and a 9-year run before selling that agency to DDB. This stretch included the adoption of new technologies into the strategic mix and building and working closely with a variety of companies from Safeco Insurance and Holland America to Microsoft and Rosetta Stone.

Now he is happily back on his own, independent, and with a band of high-powered thinkers who hit it hard every day.

Corey Moran

Corey Moran

Account Director/Founder

From day one at the University of Washington Corey knew exactly what he wanted to do for a living: write poetry. After too much coffee and not enough angst, the realization set in that communications and marketing would be a much better fit.

After getting his start with an internship at DDB, Corey went to Publicis, learning the ins and outs of media. From getting CarToys ads on the radio, T-Mobile spots on TV and placing UW Physicians ads in newspapers, Corey found himself looking for more accountability than traditional media offered, but still hoping to keep the perks that came with media buying.

The pursuit for accountability of marketing led him to the Interactive Services department at DDB Seattle where he was able to work on a mix of consumer and business-to-business clients. The strategic approach of direct marketing combined with the measurability of online media was the combination he was looking for. After helping Holland America Line enter online marketing and Microsoft standardize direct marketing metrics, Corey escaped the agency rat-race (and mid-afternoon foosball tournaments) and joined Microsoft in 2004 to put those metrics to use.

At Microsoft, Corey managed event demand generation for the U.S. He then moved to the Global Relationship Marketing Group and managed the global process for promotional email and produced Microsoft’s first-ever global promotional email benchmark report. His most recent projects include developing the Microsoft.com Online Campaign Test & Measurement Framework and managing the measurement and analysis of Microsoft.com campaign websites for the Windows Vista and Office 2007 product launches.

The opportunity to solve multiple clients’ business problems proved to be too strong a calling, and despite fears that his exit would hurt the Microsoft stock price, Corey is now back on the agency side at Hunt Marketing Group. And while it’s still not writing poetry, there’s an art and science to crafting the perfect campaign plan (and it’s also a bit cathartic, too).

Natalie Gossett

Natalie Gossett

Account Director/Founder

Some people dream of living on an exotic island. In Natalie’s case, no island could contain her. Born and raised in Maui, the trade winds blew her into the Pacific Northwest for what has proven thus far to be a diverse and successful career.

Upon graduating from the University of Puget Sound with degrees in Communications and Japanese, Natalie began her career with FCB on one of their highest profile accounts – Hewlett Packard. Responsible for the development and execution of monthly statement mailers, online newsletters and website enhancements, Natalie developed the foundation, and ultimately her passion, for marketing.

Following FCB, Natalie joined DDB Seattle as part of a growing Microsoft account team. Working on several business units including Worldwide License Compliance, Microsoft Project and Microsoft Dynamics, she furthered her knowledge and skill set in marketing and led the account to one of its most profitable years at the agency.

A move to Dallas, TX led her to the DDB Dallas office where she was given the opportunity to round out her experience by adding consumer, retail and promotional marketing on accounts such as American Airlines, Omni Hotels and Schlage. While there, she was responsible for running fully integrated multi-channel promotions and campaigns.

Missing the Northwest, Natalie found herself back in Seattle, where she returned to DDB Seattle to spearhead lead generation efforts for the Exclusive Resorts and Majestic America Line accounts. Both accounts allowed her to build and implement lead generation programs and successfully reduce cost per lead and acquisition costs.

Natalie joins Hunt Marketing Group as an Account Director and brings with her a unique blend….whether you’re looking for a lesson in Japanese, some Hawaiian hospitality, or a skilled direct marketing professional, Natalie will fit the bill.

Matt Hunt

Matt Hunt

Copywriter/Founder

Matt specializes in both marketing communications and direct marketing. He’s concepted, written and produced brochures, direct mail and newsletters for clients ranging from health care plans to low-income housing organizations. He’s led efforts to promote various start-ups, raised awareness of social justice leaders and organized a community outreach campaign. He is particularly interested in finding innovative ways to connect with target audiences and keeping up with “new” media.

He happily returned to Seattle in 2005 after graduating from Boston College with a History major and Italian minor. Quickly dismissing the idea of delivering pizza into historic neighborhoods, he joined Team Soapbox, a Seattle public relations firm. His stint as a PR guy helped Matt hone his expertise in account management, client service and development of message platforms to specific target audiences. Matt joins Hunt Marketing Group as an Account Manager; bringing his attention to detail and creative thinking to the agency’s clients. Matt spent a year in Parma, Italy where he fell in love with all things Italian and acknowledges that he will probably never eat so well again. A die-hard baseball fan, Matt wishes that every year could be 1995 for his beloved M's.

Niels Toft

Niels Toft

Art Director

When Shakespeare wrote "There's something rotten in the state of Denmark" he certainly wasn't talking about Niels Toft. Niels, a native of Denmark, joined Hunt Marketing Group in the summer of 2007 as an Art Director. He brings an expertise in creative development and production, an incredible eye for detail and a small dash of European flair to the HMG offices.

Prior to joining HMG, Niels worked as a freelance designer and production artist in Seattle. Niels' experience spans diverse industries and media. He's produced print ads, online banners, direct mail and marketing collateral for a wide range of companies including REI, Costco and Gravity Payments.

When he's not hard at work, Niels enjoys learning the finer points of American football, exploring the Seattle hinterlands, spending time with his wife Erin and keeping in touch with friends and family back home. Niels is currently on a mission to find a Seattle restaurant that services a classic Danish open-faced liver spread sandwich on rye bread. We wish him good luck, but hope he doesn't bring it back to the office.

Laura Pfleiger

Laura Pfleiger

Account Executive

Laura originally hails from Alaska where she spent most of her time living in an igloo with her pet moose. Now living in Seattle, she dearly misses her hoofed companion but she's happy to have a real roof over her head. Laura specializes in on-line and direct marketing and has experience planning, implementing and optimizing search marketing and e-mail marketing campaigns. A firm believer that a good idea should never go unheard, Laura sees marketing as the key to bridging the gap between innovator and consumer.

Laura honed her marketing, communications and branding skills through an internship at the Washington Wine Commission and as the Marketing Coordinator for Second Space Inc., a local tech startup. The two positions armed her with valuable experience implementing, testing and optimizing online marketing campaigns. Laura joined HMG in November of 2007 as an Account Executive, excited for the opportunity to put her skills to use for the agency's multiple clients.

When she's not hard at work Laura can be found delving into Seattle's underground music scene. An avid fan of up-and-coming artists, Laura won't hesitate to tell you that she knew about your favorite band way before they ever became popular.
